How Hemorrhoids Affect Pregnancy
Hemorrhoids, commonly known as piles are caused when the blood vessels that are present in the rectal area swell and can be very uncomfortable and in many cases very painful. It is a type of varicose vein and is very common among women who are pregnant. Hemorrhoids can lead to bleeding in some cases particularly during bowel movements and the color of the blood will be bright red. There will be a lot of discomfort while sitting, bowel movement or even while walking and can be accompanied by itching that will be very uncomfortable. There are two types of hemorrhoids and they are internal hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids. As the name suggests this classification is based on the location where the hemorrhoids are formed.
